Areas at B United’s Connecticut brewery included many brew house flooring areas, such as filling, bottling and canning areas. Many of the existing floors did not drain properly, and required a slope to drains flooring underlayment. They selected E P Floors Corp and their PUMA-CRETE urethane cement flooring, for the project. E P Floors was able to provide turn key services including consulting, high strength, slope to drain underlayment, along with a 1/4 inch finish layer of PUMA-CRETE urethane mortar. The surface of this antimicrobial flooring features an easy to clean and sanitize, and slip resistant when wet.

Work had to be done in multiple phases, due to new equipment installation, and re organization of the manufacturing layout. This requires coordination to install areas over weekends and required fast turnaround. Many of the areas were completed in less than one week, from start to finish.

A bonded, high strength, slope to drain underlayment can be a cost effective and time savings alternative, to complete slab replacement. Often, work can be completed in one week or less, turnaround time. This can be major cost savings due to reduced downtime, and speeds up the overall construction schedule. E P Floors can consult on drain layout, and even perform floor drain installation if requested.

Brewery floors have also been installed by E P Floors at other Connecticut craft brewers such as Beer’d Brewing in New London County, and Lock City Brewing Co in Fairfield County.

E P Floors Corp performs all work with its own expert installation teams, eliminating sub-contractors and third party companies for its work. Epoxy flooring type food and beverage processing floors, have been installed throughout Connecticut, New England and the U.S.
