Winery Flooring Solutions — PumaCRETE
Seamless, sanitary, acid-resistant urethane & epoxy systems designed specifically for winery production, barrel rooms, bottling and tasting areas.

Why specialized flooring matters in wineries
Winery environments combine wet operations, sugar and acid exposure, heavy rolling barrels, frequent washdowns and public tasting areas. PumaCRETE flooring systems are engineered to meet those needs with a seamless, non-porous surface that’s easy to clean and built to last.
Sanitation & Compliance
Seamless surfaces reduce bacterial harborage and make wash-downs effective. PumaCRETE meets USDA/FDA expectations and supports SQF programs.
Chemical & Acid Resistance
Resists wine acids, sugars, sanitizers and CIP chemicals—protecting the floor and preventing contamination pathways.
Thermal Shock Durability
Formulated to tolerate hot washdowns and large temperature swings without cracking, delamination, or loss of adhesion.
Custom Slip Profile
Embedded aggregate options provide permanent slip resistance tailored to crush rooms, bottling lines, and tasting areas.
Recommended PumaCRETE systems by winery zone
1. Crush rooms & tank areas
Use a troweled urethane mortar system (typ. 1/4″ or greater) that accepts heavy impact and thermal cycling. These systems are monolithic and can be integrally coved at walls for sanitary transitions.
2. Barrel aging / storage
Seamless urethane or epoxy mortar overlays deliver durability under static barrel loads and rolling movement, with minimal maintenance and zero grout lines.
3. Bottling & packaging
High-performance topcoats (novolac or similar) resist concentrated chemicals and provide a robust finish for conveyor and equipment areas.
4. Tasting rooms & hospitality spaces
Decorative urethane or polyurea systems combine design flexibility with easy cleaning, allowing wineries to preserve aesthetics without compromising hygiene.
Installation overview & best practices
- Concrete prep: mechanical profiling (shotblast/grind) to proper ICRI profile; remove contaminates and loose material.
- Moisture check & mitigation: test for vapor emission. When needed, install proper moisture mitigation primers or membranes.
- Primer & base: epoxy/urethane primer to promote adhesion.
- Urethane mortar / topping: troweled or screeded to plan thickness with optional embedded texture.
- Topcoat & cure: polymeric topcoat for stain resistance, color retention and cleanability.
Note: ambient and substrate temperatures, cure times and sequencing are critical—coordinate with PumaCRETE installers for site-specific recommendations.
Key benefits — what winery operators gain
- Improved food safety & easier sanitation (supports HACCP programs).
- Lower lifecycle maintenance costs vs. tile or vinyl systems.
- Reduced downtime for repairs—monolithic repairs vs. tiled re-grouting.
- Enhanced slip safety through permanent textures.
